Deuter Sports is a Germany-based brand for sport packs, hiking and trekking bags, snow sports and so much more. In Augsburg in 1898, Hans Deuter founded Deuter Sport and in the 1900s Deuter supplied the Bavarian Royal Mail bags and sacks. In 1905 the company produced blankets for freights, cars and horses as well as tent. In 1910 the military need more supplies so Deuter began producing satchels, backpacks, knapsacks, belts and tents for the military men. A few years later the company expanded into manufacturing suitcases, backpacks and truck canopies as well as expanded its tent production. Since 2006 Schwan-Stabilo has owned the company. Today Deuter designs and develops their products in Gersthofen, Germany and work alongside athletes, retailers and customers to produce the highest quality products. The company joined Bluesign in 2008 and prides themselves in offering sustainably offered products to their customers.
