Architectmade PK-Bowl | Black Granite

Way back in 1963, designer and architect Poul Kjærholm designed the Fredericia Town Hall. One of the town hall's greatest additions was the PK-600, a gigantic 250kg black marble bowl. Part sculpture part functional form - the PK-600 was welcomed with astonishing public success. In response Kjærholm crafted the PK-Bowl, allowing anyone to integrate the PK-600's mystifying aesthetic into their own home. Made entirely of granite, the PK-Bowl creates a stark contrast between geometric forms and lustrous textures - a smooth, spherical interior is met with a coarse, cubic exterior.
