Since 1852, the Oigen foundry is proud of their ironware craftsmanship. The Tsuzumi Kettle is a traditionally designed kettle. Oigen uses the techniques and traditions of producing Nambu ironware from the city of Iwate with over 900 years of experience. Made from 75% recycled material, it is casted in a fine grain sand that the ironware has a renowned smooth and unblemished surface unlike other cast irons and naturally heats up quicker than other material kettles. If cared for properly Oigen ironware can last over 100 years for generations.
